What began as an uneven patio with old concrete and grass evolved into a seamless, stylish design using large format porcelain pavers, precision grading, and a clean aesthetic.
The Problem
The original patio was outdated and poorly laid out, with cracked red concrete and an awkward lawn layout that limited the use of the space. The client needed new flooring, drainage, and a more inviting flow from the home to the yard.
The Solution
We demoed the old patio, graded and leveled the entire yard, installed proper drainage, and laid large format outdoor porcelain pavers with precision. The new flooring created a high-end look with functional durability. We also integrated a new path, outdoor kitchen framing, and garden space—all blending into a cohesive outdoor environment.
Behind the Build: Step-by-Step Patio & Flooring Installation
1. Original Patio Assessment
We evaluated the existing layout, noting uneven slab surfaces, poor transitions, and dated finishes that needed complete replacement.
2. Demolition and Site Clearing
Our team removed all existing concrete, patio covers, and grass to prepare for grading and layout.
3. Grading and Compaction
The yard was graded to ensure water drainage flowed away from the house, and compacted gravel was installed as the base layer.
4. Framing and Form Layout
String lines and edge guides were laid out to define clean transitions and ensure a level install across the entire surface.
5. Concrete Base and Utility Lines
We coordinated utility prep and concrete edgework where needed to support the new outdoor kitchen and integrated lighting.
6. Paver Cutting and Installation
Large porcelain pavers were measured, cut, and installed one by one using laser-guided alignment for perfect symmetry.
7. Lawn and Landscaping Prep
Once the hardscape was complete, we prepared the surrounding soil for new sod, plants, and landscape enhancements.
8. Final Touches and Lighting
Outdoor lighting, edge clean-up, and sealing brought the entire space together—modern, functional, and ready to use.
