Tom came to Classic Home Contractors with a vision for something truly exceptional: a full backyard transformation from the ground up. What started as a basic outdoor area was reimagined into a luxurious and functional space—featuring a custom-built deck for a jacuzzi, a full outdoor kitchen and BBQ station, elegant hardscape pathways, mood lighting, and lush landscaping.
This project wasn’t about upgrading one feature—it was about creating an entire lifestyle destination in Tom’s own backyard.
The Problem
Tom’s existing outdoor area had no flow, functionality, or comfort. It lacked structure, shade, and usable spaces for gathering, relaxing, or entertaining. There was no deck, no outdoor kitchen, no lighting, and minimal landscaping. He needed a builder that could handle it all—from grading and structure to finishes and ambiance.
The Solution
We provided a start-to-finish custom design and build experience:
Designed and constructed a custom elevated jacuzzi deck with integrated lighting and clean composite finishes
Built a covered outdoor living room with natural wood ceiling, recessed lighting, and a modern fire feature
Installed a full outdoor kitchen with grill, sink, fridge, prep space, and bar seating
Created DG pathways (decomposed granite) for visual flow and functionality
Planted and arranged custom low-water landscaping for beauty and ease of maintenance
Installed LED path lighting, ambient tree lights, and smart color-changing feature lights
Integrated stone water fountains and boulder accents to add motion and sound

Tom’s backyard now feels like a private retreat. During the day, it’s the perfect space for lounging, cooking, or enjoying the garden. At night, it becomes a stunningly lit oasis with a glowing fire pit, illuminated walkways, and a warm jacuzzi setting.
