The Problem

1. Demo Begins – Old Asphalt Removal
We started by removing the existing asphalt driveway. The surface was broken up and hauled away to prepare for the new installation.
2. Surface Grading and Cleanup
Once the asphalt was removed, the area was graded and cleaned to ensure a solid, level base for the new concrete pour.
3. Forming and Base Preparation
We installed wood forms along the driveway perimeter and compacted the soil with gravel to stabilize the base.
4. Rebar Grid Installation
A steel rebar grid was laid across the entire driveway area to reinforce the new concrete and prevent future cracking.
5. First Concrete Pour Begins
We began the first section of the concrete pour using a pump to place the mix evenly and precisely.
6. Ongoing Concrete Placement
Our team worked in coordinated steps to pour and level the rest of the concrete, ensuring consistent thickness and finish.
7. Precision Finishing
Each section was meticulously leveled and smoothed with hand and machine trowels for a uniform surface.
8. Edge and Detail Work
Corners, curves, and garage door edges were shaped and finished for a clean transition and seamless look.
9. Texture Application
We applied a textured finish to the wet concrete for a slip-resistant surface and enhanced visual interest.
10. Surface Sealing Begins
After curing, a protective concrete sealer was applied to increase durability and protect against stains.
11. Cutting Expansion Joints
Precise cuts were made in the concrete surface to control cracking and extend the driveway’s lifespan.
12. Final Wash and Clean-up
The entire driveway was power-washed and cleaned, revealing a stunning, modern-stamped finish ready for daily use.
