Custom Fireplace Installation in San Diego – Jordan’s Story
From outdated to outstanding—see how we built Jordan a fireplace that fits his space, style, and warmth needs.
Before & After: A Fireplace That Feels Like Home

Project Spotlight: Custom Fireplace Installation in San Diego
Jordan had lived with a bulky, outdated red brick fireplace that dominated his living room and didn’t reflect his home’s personality. He wanted a fireplace that added warmth—visually and emotionally—and truly fit the space.
The Problem
The existing fireplace was oversized, dark, and didn’t blend with Jordan’s updated flooring or décor. It felt more like a leftover from decades ago than a cozy centerpiece.
The Solution
We demolished the old brick structure and replaced it with a brand-new, custom-built fireplace. The new design featured stacked natural stone, a fresh wooden mantle, and seamless integration into the room’s layout.
Fast Turnaround, Full Care
Jordan wanted a dramatic change—but without a huge disruption to daily life. We made sure the demo was clean, the framing was solid, and the new finish matched his vision.
We completed the entire installation in just a few weeks and left his home spotless and refreshed.
What This Project Meant
The fireplace became more than just a heat source. It’s now the warm heart of Jordan’s living room—beautiful, modern, and custom-built to fit his lifestyle and space.
Behind the Build: Step-by-Step Fireplace Replacement

1. Before Build
The original fireplace was oversized, made of outdated brick, and disconnected from the rest of the home’s design.

2. Interior Prep and Dust Containment
We protected floors and furniture with plastic sheeting and sealed off the area to control dust.

3. Brick Demolition Begins
We carefully took down the brick structure, starting with the sides and upper chimney enclosure.

4. Full Demo and Cleanup
All debris was removed, and the area was cleared to begin framing the new fireplace enclosure.

5. New Frame Construction
We framed out the new structure with clean lines and symmetry, setting the foundation for the stone finish.

6. Cement Board Installed
To prep for stone installation, cement board sheathing was secured across the framed area.

7. Stone Veneer Begins
We began installing the stacked natural stone from the base up, ensuring tight, even joints.

8. Mantle and Finish Work
A custom wood mantle was added, complementing the flooring and making the design pop.
One focal point, endless warmth.
