From cracked concrete to custom pavers—see how we gave this home a curb appeal upgrade.
Before & After: A Whole New First Impression

Project Spotlight: Paver Driveway Remodel in San Diego
Bob and Sandy had lived in their home for years, but the aging concrete driveway was starting to show its wear. Cracks, stains, and an outdated look were dragging down the home’s curb appeal—and its functionality.
The Problem
Their concrete driveway had cracked and shifted over time. It was unattractive, uneven, and starting to become a safety concern.
The Solution
We removed the failing concrete and installed a brand-new paver driveway with a custom layout that complements their home’s style. The result? A smoother surface, modern aesthetic, and long-term durability.
Designed for Lasting Style
Our team helped Bob and Sandy choose interlocking pavers in tones that matched the home’s facade. The design includes clean curves, tight joint lines, and excellent drainage. These upgrades made their entryway safer, stronger, and far more beautiful.
Behind the Build: Step-by-Step Driveway Transformation

1. Original Driveway
The existing driveway was a mix of concrete and older pavers—functional but dated, cracked, and mismatched.

2. Concrete Demolition Begins
We broke up and removed the old concrete surface using heavy-duty demolition equipment.

3. Site Grading and Base Prep
Once the debris was cleared, we graded the soil and compacted the sub-base to prepare for new installation.

4. Laying the Foundation
A layer of Class II road base was delivered and leveled to ensure a solid, stable base for the pavers.

5. Installing Pavers – First Rows
We carefully laid the first rows of pavers, setting the pattern and alignment for the entire driveway.

6. Full Paver Field Installation
The team worked methodically to cover the entire driveway area, maintaining precise lines and level surfaces.

7. Cutting Edge Pavers to Fit
Pavers were cut and shaped to fit perfectly along the edges and curves, creating a custom, finished look.

8. Final Sanding and Compaction
Polymeric sand was swept into the joints, then the entire driveway was compacted for a strong, locked finish.
